What Padding Is Best for Pointe Shoes?

There are lots of different theories when it comes to padding for pointe shoes. My basic advice is to have professionally fitted shoes and use the most minimal padding to prevent blisters so that you can still feel your toes in the shoes.

Most blisters and discomfort comes if you are clawing your toes, which can also lead to several other injuries, so it is best to strengthen the feet until you can keep your toes long in the shoes, rather than using more padding to protect the toes.

However, his video gives some padding options for areas that are uncomfortable en pointe.
